These can operate as standalone units or, for reasons of access and efficiency, as part of a series of units linked together by buffer conveyor belts. Rotary indexing tables cells are also often used on transfer lines as upstream preassembly satellites. One particular Asic speciality consists of rotary indexing tables combined with robot units and/or manual workstations. This plant concept has been developed into a tried-and-tested standard configuration that is now enjoying widespread use.
